L’oiseau de Passage - Morgon Corcelette - 2022

L’oiseau de Passage - Morgon Corcelette - 2022
From the famed Corcelette vineyard, ground zero for the birth of the natural wine movement where growers from the Gang of Four such as Jean Foillard and Marcel Lapierre began growing grapes organically and making wine with minimal intervention in the cellar. Today that tradition carries on with Julien's Morgon, farmed only with the force of arms and draft horse with no chemicals. Fruity base with notes of cherry, hard candy and earth.

L’oiseau de Passage is the brainchild of Julien Frappa, a committed organic vigneron and micro garagiste working in some of the most respected crus and terroirs of Beaujolais. Until recently Julien was a part time winemaker; also holding down a job at a Lyon museum while working with friends and mentors across Beaujolais to learn the natural farming techniques and cellar practices that make his wines a superb addition to the Barrel Down portfolio.
