Michael Andres - Riesling - Reiterpfad- 2024
Michael Andres - Riesling - Reiterpfad- 2024
‘Rider's Path’ is the historic and rough translation of Reiterpfad. Stretching from the village of Ruppertsberg in the east to the base of the Haardt mountains to the west the soils move from sandstone and clay to weathered limestone which provides this wine with both some cool climate and warm climate characteristics. Supremely balanced between rich and bright this is an absolute winner.

Michael Andres has a great reggae collection on vinyl. A massive thumbs up in my book. He also makes some of the most mineral driven, fresh and soulful wines I’ve come across in sometime which is also quite a bonus! His relaxed and unassuming personality is coupled with a fanatical devotion to biodynamics and the land which he has worked since his youth.
