Named after Eugenio and Cinzia’s daughter, Lucia, “Lu” comes from the La Serra and Fossati crus. Maceration lasts between 25-30 days before elevated to large oak foudre for two years followed by 12 months in glass-lined cement vats and a further 12 months in bottle. The singular ruby hue that only Barolo can lay claim leads to captivating aromas, fine tannins and bright acidity all in perfect unison, hallmarks of Barolo that the prized 2015 vintage have on offer even at its relatively young age.
