‘Given to man by God’ is the historic and rough translation of Hergottsacker, and given the quality of this vineyard it seems apt! Stretching from the village of Deidesheim in the east to the base of the Haardt mountains to the west the soils move from sandstone and clay to weathered limestone which provides this wine with both some cool climate and warm climate characteristics. Rich and mineral with lovely acidity, excellent depth and length.
